Florence Collard studied graphic design at the Brussels institute "Le 75". For 15 years she was the artistic director of Marie Claire magazine. Today she works as a freelance art director.
Her paintings are an invitation to travel. Acrylic paint is the medium that best suits the spontaneous movement in her art. Her work testifies of the mobility of the brush and the sensitivity of the moment. By using only a couple of strokes, she captures transient beauty and volatile emotions. The works of Florence is situated between drawing and painting. Nature is one of her biggest influences. She typically combines blue, grey, cream, orange and ochre fields to express her themes. Her painted birds represent adventure, and dare the spectator to embrace the world, become ourselves and dive into the beauty of nature.
