Jens Devrome (1994) is a young Belgian artist who is inspired by Action Painting and Abstract Expressionism. Jackson Pollock is his style icon. The oeuvre of Devrome is colorful and explores the limits of art. The artist not only uses the classic linen as his canvas, furniture, paper and photography are used as well to get his message out. Devrome wants recognition: as an artist in the first place, but also as a human being. The search for his own style must prove that he is somebody. That fact the work of Devrome does not fit one box in particular, testifies of his search of a personal signature where color and expression are the common thread.
