Joanna Glazer was born in Gdansk (Poland). She traveled and lived for extended periods in Poland, France, Italy, Japan, USA, Belgium and the UK.
In her art, she conveys the sense of beauty that she sees in the world. She is inspired by the immense pleasure and sense of discovery resulting from the continual observation around her. Joanna uses photographic materials found in glossy magazines. Pictures of mannequins influence her especially with pose, gestures or facial expressions. Her recurring theme is large faces of women, which translate the sense of beauty, resilience and peace. In her current paintings, she shows women's legs while exploring the dynamism and progress in the world.
Her paintings have been exhibited in France, the USA, the UK and Japan.
